CBD infused Walnut Chocolates
This chocolate’s gonna make you chill
I usually take a few drops of 5% CBD oil every night before going to bed and though to myself - why not put it in a dessert? The CBD taste is only subtle, depending on how much you are keen to drop into the filling. I say: go for it! 
Servings: 12 chocolatesTotal time: 40 min plus cooling time FOR THE chocolates
Ingredients
1 cup dates, pitted and soaked in warm water for 10 minutes 
1 cup walnuts plus a few walnuts to top
1 tbsp tahini or another seed or nut butter
pinch of salt
2 tsp hemp protein powder, ground oats or ground walnuts
3 - 4 ml CBD oil (I used the 5% one by Laia’s*)
For the Chocolate COating
60g dark chocolate (I used 85%)
1 tsp coconut oil
* their CBD is produced locally and made from European hemp. This product is a full spectrum hemp aroma that does not only contain CBD but also other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven 180°C and place the walnuts on a baking tray. Roast them for about 10 minutes or until crunchy and golden brown. 
- In a food processor, add the dates, roasted walnuts, tahini, salt, hemp powder and CBD oil and blend until all is combined. (The texture can remain slightly chunky.) 
- To portion the chocolate, either evenly spread the filling onto a with baking paper lines square cake tin or use silicone bar moulds (the filling will make about 4 bars). Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours, the cut into small squares (one bar makes 3 squares). 
- Heat some water in a pot and place a metal bowl over it. Place the chocolate and coconut oil in the bowl and melt. 
- With a fork, dip each square into the melted chocolate, then place back on a tray lined with baking paper, top with a roasted walnut and freeze for another hour. Enjoy!
